Review: Annas 'Pepparkaka' Biscuits

Annas - Original Pepparkaka - Ginger, Almond, Cappuccino Thins

Ginger, Almond or Cappuccino flavour biscuit thins. Sweden's most loved pepparkaka, since 1929. These biscuits are from the Lotus biscuits stable, and are similar to caramelised biscuits. They're perfect with tea or coffee:

Review: Camille Bloch Torino Truffle / Mousse

Camille Bloch - Torino - Truffle / Mousse vegan chocolate

A return review for the mousse bar, plus the truffle bar with a smooth almond and hazelnut filling. We loved the mousse bar so much that it made our Best Vegan Products of 2013 list. Now that Veganstore sells both bars, we thought we'd review them together. We're also going to compare these bars to the British made Kingdom truffle bars in our next review.

Review: Soya Mate Coffee Creamer

Soya Mate Dairy-Free Vegan Coffee-Creamer

Dairy-free coffee whitener from Veganstore UK. We've reviewed several coffee whiteners and found them mostly disappointing. Anyone want some unloved SoyGo sachets...? Veganstore were equally frustrated and set out to create their own creamer to fill the gap in the market. Should you pack some on your next trip?

Review: Vantastic Foods Vitali Cereal Bars

Vantastic Foods - Vitali Müsliriegel - Schoko Banane (chocolate banana vegan cereal bar)

Chocolate-banana flavoured crispy cereal bars from German producer Vantastic. These came from Vegan Tuck Box (we promise to diversify our sources soon...!). We hold the view that cereal bars fall into two camps - worthy and healthy, or sugary and tasty. These fall into the latter group, as high energy snack bars:

Review: Biona Caramel & Chocolate Syrups

Organic agave syrups with dairy-free caramel and chocolate flavours. Joining Biona's plain agave syrup on the shelves recently are these pair of flavoured syrups. They're both billed as 'rich and mellow' and aimed at 'pancakes and desserts'. The difference between these and cheap sugar syrups, is that Agave makes up over 80% of the contents in both cases, meaning that they keep their Low GI status:

Guest Review: Blueberries does Divina Teresa: 'Atlantic'

Divina Teresa: 'Atlantic' vegan range

From Spain comes leading veggie meat company Divina Teresa. The company are considering a UK launch and asked us to review just some of their huge product range. We asked Barcelona-based blogger Blueberries of VeganButNotScary to do the honours for us. She kicks off with the company's 'Atlantic' range of Fingers, Burgers, Wonders and Delights:

NOTE: The star ratings are not working on Internet Explorer 11, so we've put the score in brackets. You should be able to see them fine in Chrome / Firefox / Safari until we fix it.

Review: De Rit Syrup Waffles

De Rit vegan Syrup Waffles

Filled dutch waffles with malt syrup or hazelnut syrup centres. The vegan ones of these are made by De Rit or Molenaartje, but be careful to avoid the similar looking ones by Biona which have eggs in. De Rit also make a honey filled version which you'll naturally avoid too. There is clearly no need for eggs or honey as these De Rit waffles are really rather good:

Review: Mediterranea Ragu di Soia - bolognese sauce

Meat-free ragu sauce with soya mince for lasagne and bolognese. Another sample sent to us by MozzaRisella partner Mediterranea. This is the second Italian faux-meat ragu we've tried recently, with the first being the wonderful one that came with the Relasagna lasagne-in-a-box kit. This one is sold separately, on the MozzaRisella online store. We made a lasagne with it, topped with what else, but MozzaRisella vegan mozzarella:

Review: Dee's Vegan Sausages

Serendipity + Vegfest = Opportunity to try sausages not widely available in the UK. We happened to be in the right place at the right time to be one of the lucky few to get a Vegfest handout of Dee's vegan sausages. Dee's is an Irish wholefood company run by Dee Collins, specialising in healthy burgers, sausages and meal pots. We've been wanting to try these sausages for ages... and fate intervened last Sunday. Are they worth the wait?

New: Violife Cheese ...in a block

Violife vegan cheese in a block

Your favourite vegan cheese in a 200g block. Violife has only previously been available as slices. This block doesn't even appear on their website as yet, but it's making its way to your local stockist. The block means grated violife is now possible, as well chunky slices and little cubes...whatever takes your fancy.

New: Freedom Mallows Strawberry Marshmallows

Freedom Mallows Strawberry Vegan Marshmallows

New vegan marshmallows with a strawberry flavour. Freedom Mallows are the machine-made light and fluffy vegetarian marshmallows from Manchester producers Freedom Confectionery. Previously only available in vanilla, the Strawberry flavour is arriving in UK shops round about now. We grabbed a bag to see if they're as good as the vanilla flavour.

Review: Ravioriselli Ravioli with MozzaRisella

Review: Ravioriselli Ravioli with MozzaRisella

Egg-free fresh pasta with dairy-free cheese filling. Vegan ravioli made with the best vegan cheese is like a dream come true. When we heard that MozzaRisella were expanding their product line, we couldn't wait to test some of it. The company sent us some review samples of the spinach ravioli and courgette (zucchini) ravioli, both of which have CreamyRisella within:

Exclusive: Review of Re-Lasagna Vegan Lasagne Kit

Exclusive: Review of Re-Lasagna Vegan Lasagne Kit

Genuine italian lasagne, but meat and dairy free, from your own kitchen. There aren't many ready-made vegan lasagnes available in the UK... in fact we don't know of any (maybe you do?). If you want lasagne for dinner therefore, you can eat out, or spend an hour or two in the kitchen. Italian chef Gilberto Argini is about to fill this gap in the market with his new Bio-Vegan Lasagne-in-a-box. We've been given an exclusive preview of the new kit (via UPS from Italy!):

Review: Food Heaven Dairy-Free Ice Cream

Review: Food Heaven Dairy-Free Ice Cream

Vegan ice cream from @FoodHeaven in Rich Chocolate, Cool Vanilla and Wild Blueberry flavours. Jodi Anderson and the team at Food Heaven have put together a great range of dairy-free foods, with this dairy-free ice cream now widely available. You may be familiar with Food Heaven's frozen cheesecakes, and they're soon to launch a dairy-free tiramisu too! We checked out the ice cream on a sunny September weekend...

[P]review: Buono Ice Cream Mochi

That's right, preview rather than review. We haven't verified that these are even vegetarian yet, but we're pretty sure they are. They're labelled Dairy-Free, but not as vegetarian, and a couple of the ingredients could be from animal fat. Buono make other products with the same ingredients that are labelled as vegetarian, so we're pretty sure this is an oversight. We've reached out to the distributor to establish the facts, and await their reply.

We hope they're kosher, because they're rather good:

UPDATE: These are confirmed as vegetarian, as well as dairy-free (and have no other possible animal ingredients listed) and they therefore meet our review criteria as being vegan.

Review: Freedom Mallows

Freedom Mallows vegan marshmallows

Soft, fluffy, vegan marshmallows from @Freedommallows (Freedom Confectionery) of Manchester. We've been looking out for these and came across them in the strangest of places... the farm shop in the village of Thorverton, Devon (with lots of other vegan groceries too if you're near Exeter). You can have any flavour you like, as long as it's vanilla:

New: Good Karma "3omega6" Flax Milk

Good Karma "3omega6" Flax Milk

Terrible name. Great product. Good Karma introduced their dairy-free flax milk to the UK earlier this year under the name "3omega6", which is a name so bad they didn't even put it on the carton. Having also missed off their company name "Good Karma" we think they should fire their creative department. Just as well the product speaks for itself:

Review: Violife Flavoured Cheeses

Violife Flavoured Cheeses

Vegan cheese with Olives, Peppers, Herbs or Tomato & Basil. Greek cheese masters Viotros were the first to get a 5 star review for a vegan cheese here on Veganoo. Since the original cheese slices launched earlier this year, the range has expanded rapidly. We picked out four of the new flavoured cheeses for our review:

Review: Provamel Pouring Yoghurts

Provamel Breakfast Pouring Yoghurts

New from Provamel - breakfast pouring yoghurts in Natural and Vanilla. We've been searching high and low for these as they don't seem to be widely stocked as yet. These pouring yoghurts are unusual, as there isn't a great pouring yoghurt tradition in the UK. We have nothing to compare them to, but Provamel have their own high standards, so our expectations were high:

Review: Dobla Belgian Chocolate Dessert Cups

Dobla Belgian Chocolate Dessert Cups

Chocolate cups in the style of 'cupcake cases' for ice cream. Fill them with your favourite dairy-free ice cream, soft fruit, custard, or whatever takes your fancy. These dessert cups are made purely from dark Belgian chocolate with a cocoa content of 49%. We dug out the ice cream for a special mid-week dessert:
