A return review for the mousse bar, plus the truffle bar with a smooth almond and hazelnut filling. We loved the mousse bar so much that it made our Best Vegan Products of 2013 list. Now that Veganstore sells both bars, we thought we'd review them together. We're also going to compare these bars to the British made Kingdom truffle bars in our next review.
It's a sad fact that the Torino Mousse bar simply cannot survive being posted. This one from Veganstore fared better than the one sent by Vx, but it still arrived broken. Side by side, the mousse bar has glossier chocolate than the truffle bar.
That mousse filling is as divine as ever - light, airy, fluffy and creamy. The satisfying crack of the chocolate shell is amazing too. This is glorious dairy-free chocolate.
The truffle bar is less exotic, but still exciting for vegan chocolate. A smooth hazelnut and almond truffle covered in sweet dark chocolate. The truffle is distinctly nutty and just a little bit caramelly too.
These two bars represent the best of swiss chocolate, and some of the best dairy-free products on the market at the moment. If you're placing an order with Veganstore, be sure to add them to your basket.
Available from Vx and Veganstore

The mousse one looks incredible! When I'm off my sugar free diet I'm definitely treating myself to a bar :P
ReplyDeleteSugar is no sin when it's in something this good ;-)
