Review: 'The Bridge' Rice Cream
Dairy-free, soy-free and gluten-free vegan cream alternative, made from italian rice and sunflower oil. Badged as Bio Rice Cuisine from Italian firm 'The Bridge'. This is an unsweetened 'single' cream primarily meant for savoury dishes. We made a potato gratin to check it out:
Review: EcoMil Almond Cream
Organic unsweetened 'Cuisine' cream made from almonds and agave. Dairy-free and soya-free. EcoMil suggest the cream is heat stable and can be boiled or mixed with acidic foods such as lemon without curdling. We're reviewing several non-dairy creams this week, so let's see how EcoMil fares:
Review: Leha Schlagfix Spray Cream
Dairy-free whipped cream in a convenient spray can. German firm LeHA has brought a range of dairy alternatives to the UK, including whipping cream, coffee creamer and a couple of spray creams. There is a "super kosher" version of this spray cream called 'Whiptop' which you can also find in the UK - it's even sold in Tesco.
Taste Test: Best Vegan Cream...for Strawberries
It's Wimbledon...strawberries and cream season is upon us. We've taste tested 6 vegan creams to see which should have the honour of topping our great British strawberries. We trailed this Taste Test two weeks ago and frankly we've been waiting for the sunshine to return ever since! At the first sign of a blue sky we grabbed some kentish strawberries and our 6 dairy-free creams...but which will take the title of Cream of the Crop?
