Review: Shneider's Delinut Dip

Shneiders - Delinut Dip - Dairy Free chocolate cream dippers

Chocolate dipper snack pack from the May Vegan Tuck Box selection of treats. Shneider's Delinut Duo spread gained top marks in our review last year, so we were thrilled to see this snack pot arrive. Oddly, Delinut is sometimes spelled Dellinut, depending on which country the product is manufactured for. Is the Dip as good as the Duo?

While the Duo spread is a mix of white chocolate and hazelnut flavours, this is just the chocolate hazelnut spread, with some mini breadsticks to scoop it up with.

The chocolate cream is really sweet, but nicely flavoured too with lots of hazelnut in there. The pack describes the dippers as 'biscuits', but they're absolutely not biscuits in the UK sense of the word. If you've eaten mini breadsticks (grissini), you'll know exactly what they are.  The plain breadsticks work well with the really sweet cream.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where you'd pack these in your bag for a day out, in preference to a flapjack or something more practical, but they're huge fun. If the child in you fancies a vegan treat, you'll love the Delinut Dip.

The Good: Fun, sweet and delicious
The Not-so-Good: Maybe too sweet..
