Review: Marmite Rice Cakes

Marmite Rice Cakes are vegan

Rice cakes that aren't dull, but flavoured with love-it or hate-it Marmite. A low fat snack alternative to crisps, with 3% fat. We found these in the Co-operative supermarket.

The ingredients are pretty simple - there's nothing in the pack apart from rice cakes and Marmite. The Marmite is sort of sprayed on to the outside of the rice cakes, giving them an even colouring and flavouring too. Bland rice cakes are transformed to become tasty, salty treats.

We're quite surprised how mild these were though - even people who find yeast extract too strong and salty should give these a try. They might even convert you into Marmite lovers!

The Good: Low fat, tasty savoury snacks
The Not-so-Good: Maybe lacks a little punch...?
