Review: Raw Nibbles Double Chocolate Brownie

Raw Nibbles Double Chocolate Vegan Brownie

A raw chocolate dairy and egg-free 'brownie' made with organic cocoa, dates and agave syrup. This arrived in the January Vegan Tuck Box. The company Raw Nibbles is a Suffolk-based artisan producer, who have a small range of raw food goodies available online. This isn't a brownie in the traditional sense:

Dairy-Free Raw Chocolate Vegan Brownie

If you're looking for a high-sugar gooey cake, this isn't a brownie that will appeal. If alternatively you want something pretty delicious in a brownie-style, then it might. We thought this was like a cross between tiffin and brownie - dense and biscuity with fruit and nuts.

The 'double chocolate' comprises raw chocolate chunks, plus chocolate in the base mix. It really is very chocolatey, but not in a bitter dark chocolate way. The chocolate is creamy, smooth and vanilla scented like a milky chocolate.

We really liked this cake, but you will have to stretch your definition of a brownie to enjoy it.

The Good: Delicious and very chocolatey
The Not-so-good: Stretches the definition of a brownie
