Review: Really Not Dairy - Roasted Garlic Mayo

Really Not Dairy - Roasted Garlic Egg-Free Mayo

Leftover tofurkey in need of a lift? Roasted garlic egg-free mayo might be the answer. Global Bounty are a new UK company with several 'free from' product lines. Their Really Not Dairy range includes yoghurt-style desserts and this range of mayo alternatives. The mayo comes in Original, Chipotle and Roasted Garlic flavours. The garlic flavour might be ideal for perking up your Christmas leftovers:

The mayo comes in a squeezy bottle, making it the fourth squeezy-vegan-mayo on the market in the UK that we know of, alongside Granovita, Tiger-Tiger and Solesse (which may have been discontinued). Check out our previous Vegan Mayo Taste Test for reviews of the others.

Vegan Tofurkey with Egg-Free Mayo

We bought the Roasted Garlic mayo because that's the only one that was in stock, but we're glad we did. The taste of this stuff is amazing - the garlic is sweet and smoky and it makes the perfect perk-up for vegan sausages and tofurkey leftovers. The mayo itself is a bit like salad cream - it's sweeter, sharper and thinner than mayo, but with the garlic flavour it's divine.

This is not at all like Plamil's garlic mayo, which is a more traditional thick mayo that uses fresh garlic. We love Plamil's plain mayo, but the garlic version doesn't have that heady roasted sweetness that this product does.

You've probably got your own favourite egg-free mayo, with so many to choose from these days, but do give the Really Not Dairy range a try - you might be pleasantly surprised.
