Review: Vego Chocolate Bar

Vego vegan dairy-free chocolate bar

Hazelnut gianduja chocolate with whole hazelnuts too! Our Vegan Tuck Box contained this huge (150g) bar of chocolate. We love the German website that promotes this bar:

"Probably the biggest and tastiest chocolate bar in the world"

They do have a point you know:

This bar is huge for what looks like a snack bar and feels really weighty. You only get 5 monster sized chunks that you'd do well to get in your mouth. It looks like milk chocolate, but there's no soya or rice powder in there.

This bar is actually gianduja rather than chocolate. Gianduja is chocolate made with hazelnut paste mixed in, which results in a sweet, nutty, soft chocolate. Extra whole hazelnuts are also generously packed into the bar.

The result is fantastic truffly melt-in-the-mouth chocolate with crunchy hazelnuts in every bite. This bar is perfect if you're looking for dairy-free chocolate, but don't like dark chocolate or faux milk chocolate like Moo Free.

It's not cheap - this bar retails for £3.50 but it's absolutely worth every penny.

Verdict: Vego nuts for this stuff!

    2. If you like Nutella - Asda do a chocolate hazelnut spread in their free-from section that's vegan - and it's DELICIOUS! (veganoo should do a review!)
