Review: iChoc Chocolate

iChoc Chocolate

A range of faux-milk chocolate bars in various flavours. The iChoc brand was launched last year by the German chocolate maker Vivani. The parent company makes vegan chocolate under the Vivani brand name (reviewed here), but they do also sell dairy chocolate, so decided vegans should have their own brand line. Thus iChoc was born as a pure vegan range.

The iChoc range has four flavours, Choco Cookie, White Nougat Crisp, White Vanilla and Almond Orange. We skipped the latter but picked up the other three.

The faux-milk comes in the form of rice powder, which seems to be ubiquitous these days. It's used to good effect here, as these bars are a good creamy contrast to dark chocolate.

The Choco Cookie is the standout of the three with chunks of chocolate biscuit embedded in rice milk chocolate. The white nougat crisp has much smaller chunks of hazelnut nougat within a caramel coloured white chocolate. The plain white vanilla bar meanwhile is an excellent example of vegan white chocolate.

The iChoc range is all organic. The range is all vegan but isn't suitable for milk allergy sufferers due to being made in an environment with milk.

The range is available in wholefood shops, or you can buy it online from VeganTown:

  1. My favourite is the white nougat...reminds me a bit of those small white choc bars (can't remember the brand right now but they're also German I believe) which taste a bit like a vegan, white choc version of a Ferraro Rocher. So good!

    1. That's the Vivani White Nougat Crisp I think you're thinking of, from the parent company - indeed so good!
