100% natural and isotonic, available in bottles, cartons and mini cartons. Cocofina supplied us this 500ml long life bottle of coconut water, which can be drunk on the go. Coconut water is the water from the centre of fresh green coconuts.
The water is slightly cloudy, but otherwise clear. It's surprisingly sweet, and surprisingly un-coconutty. The flavour is definitely an acquired taste, and we didn't acquire it...
Cocofina also make a range of fruit drinks with coconut water, which we think would be a better option. We used the water to make a banana smoothie, but found the water split from the blended banana very quickly. A dash of soya milk may have helped with that. The smoothie wasn't unpleasant, and brought out the coconut taste, but it's not something we'd try again.
We know lots of you guys love this stuff, so we'll try and be objective. Coconut water is naturally sterile, and the natural isotonic balance means it makes a good sports drink too.
