Review: Leha Schlagfix Spray Cream

Leha Schlagfix Vegan Spray Cream

Dairy-free whipped cream in a convenient spray can. German firm LeHA has brought a range of dairy alternatives to the UK, including whipping cream, coffee creamer and a couple of spray creams. There is a "super kosher" version of this spray cream called 'Whiptop' which you can also find in the UK - it's even sold in Tesco.

There is another German spray cream available in the UK - the more widely available SoyaToo brand.  SoyaToo is OK, but does have a bit of a strange taste. This Schlagfix cream is much more neutral tasting and is far superior. The taste is a bit sweet and syrupy, but is otherwise very palatable. We asked a lacto-veggie who said is tastes a lot like dairy spray cream.

With that in mind, the range of uses for Schlagfix are endless. You no longer need be embarrassed about bringing that vegan trifle to a party, with this stuff on top. We made a chocolate mousse for our review and it tasted great with Schlagfix on top.

We've also picked up the carton versions of the Schlagfix whipping cream (sweetened and unsweetened) and will be reviewing those shortly.

One other thing - we didn't get a clogged can when testing Schlagfix - something that often happens with SoyaToo...

The Good: Smooth, creamy, neutral taste, non-clogging
The Not-so-good: A bit sweet
