Limited Edition honeycomb crisp chocolates, perfect for the festive season. These dark chocolates are much more versatile than the mint ones, which are usually sidelined as after dinner chocolates:
The chocolates come in the same distinctive octagonal box as the other varieties in Elizabeth Shaw's range.
Wrapped, or unwrapped, they also look identical to the dark chocolate mints too. You need to take a bite to experience the the difference.
The gingerbread crisp is amazing. These chocolates are so moreish you'll be tempted to eat a handful once the box is open. Chocolate gingers are commonplace, but crispy gingerbread pieces are something else. These are by far the best variety in the Elizabeth Shaw range.
Are they vegan?
If you look online, you'll find that the company lists these as not suitable for vegans, yet they declare quite clearly that they're vegetarian and contain no milk or egg ingredients, and the 'honeycomb' is made with glucose syrup. The reason for the declaration is the old problem of mixed production lines. Just like with Green & Blacks, these chocolates can have trace amounts of milk in them.
They do meet our review policy as being vegan though, so go and find some in your local supermarket. Just don't tell the Vegan Police.
