Review: Koestlin Choco Wafers

Koestlin Choco Wafers

Egg and dairy-free chocolate filled wafers from Croatian enterprise Koestlin. These snack wafers can be found in discount shops and European supermarkets. Snack wafers, particularly the ones not covered in chocolate, are much more common in continental Europe than in the UK. You have to seek these out in non-mainstream shops here:

It's hard to distinguish between brands really, but there are the more flaky ones like these, with softer filling, then the harder firmer ones like Manner. These ones are not quite as good as Manner, but they do have a lovely creamy chocolate filling. Until they make vegan Kitkats, these will have to do.

The Good: Tasty wafers with a creamy filling
The Not-so-good: Crumbs everywhere....

  1. You could totally make a vegan Kit Kat outa these by dipping them into melted chocolate and leaving them to cool. If I spot them I'm totally doing that!!
