When you spoon it out you won't be disappointed either - it has that thick sticky consistency of peanut butter. The taste is is pretty good - almost exactly like peanut butter, with just a tiny hint of something like dried pea. The texture in the mouth is softer and smoother than peanut butter, and it does have a little more graininess in the mouthfeel.
Once you put it in a sandwich though, you'll forget this is anything other than peanut butter - you really can't tell the difference. If you're a fan of American style peanut butter and jam (jelly) sandwiches, you can now have a completely nut-free version that tastes like the real thing.
Verdict: Freenut Butter

Great to find this on here - our youngest is allergic to peanuts and so we buy a case of I’M Healthy Soynut Butter from the US, which works out V. expensive to have shipped over. Looking forward to trying it - if it’s anything like the I’M Healthy we’ll be very pleased. Great blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks Richard. There's obviously more than one brand of this 'soynut' butter around then.
DeleteIf it helps - I developed a violent reaction to normal peanut butter about 5 yrs ago, after having eaten it for years (I'm 48 now). Up until discovering Wow Butter, I had been avoiding peanut butter and, indeed, all nut butters. Gingerly I tried WB and had no reaction at all. Converted a friend to it too. At nearly £5, I use it sparingly though.
