Versatile vegan squeezy chocolate for drinks, toppings and more. New from the makers of Sweet Freedom is a novel product in the form of liquid chocolate in a squeezy bottle. This blend of Sweet Freedom (fruit based sweetener) and cocoa can be made into hot chocolate, milkshakes and sauces, or used as a topping on ice cream, porridge or toast:
This is a dark and rich sort of chocolate, which doesn't have any milky ingredients, so a little goes a long way. It's sweet though, rather than bitter and because it isn't overpowering you can drizzle it straight onto your usual favourites, like dairy-free ice cream. It makes a change from raspberry sauce.
Much like nutella-style spreads, Choc Shot doubles up as a chocolate spread, so you can put it straight on your toast. We found it hugely convenient to drizzle rather than to smear, and the bottle is drip-free.
We made up some hot chocolate, using half soya, half rice milk, with two teaspoons of Choc Shot. It really was delicious, and yep, there were no lumps or powdery bits...though it does take a bit of stirring to dissolve everything off the spoon!
We're planning to try Choc Shot to make up some chocolate-banana milkshake and will update the post when we've tried it.
Choc Shot is one of those things we might find ourselves keeping in the cupboard, because it's both versatile and very convenient.
