Vegan Easter: Sjaak's Filled Chocolate Easter Eggs

Sjaak's Filled Chocolate Vegan Easter Eggs

Your Easter Egg hunt is over! Five organic vegan ‘milk’ chocolate eggs filled with vanilla truffle, raspberry truffle, almond butter, creamy caramel and peanut butter. These foil-wrapped eggs are just a little bit bigger than those famous creme eggs that vegans can't eat, and come in a little presentation box. Creamy caramel... and peanut butter... tell me more:

The eggs are foil wrapped and appear to be in two halves, but they are firmly stuck together, so any idea of eating just a half are out of the question. The chocolate has that lovely 'milk' choc appearance and is glossy and smooth, with a ribbed shell.

Inside, the eggs are fully filled with the various flavoured fillings. By far the best are the peanut butter (think Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) and caramel ones (think Cadbury's Caramel). The vanilla and almond truffle style eggs are pretty good too, but we weren't overly keen on the raspberry truffle one.

What we did find was that these eggs are too big and too sickly to eat at once... so it's a pity the eggs don't come in two halves. The chocolate and fillings are very sweet and really good, but if you eat a whole one... it's just a little too much.

Exclusively available in the UK from Viva's online shop

Verdict: Not half, mate!
