Vegan Oreos

Three sorts of vegan Oreos... from Poundland. That's right... Oreo biscuits are not normally vegan in the UK, but if you pop down to Poundland you'll find some vegan ones. Cheap ones too...Oreos are two packs for a pound for the standard packs. You can have Original, Chocolate Cream, or Original Snack Packs...but beware...the Chocolate Cream Snack Packs have whey in them. We grabbed a glass of rice milk, did the twist, the lick... and tucked in:

Vegan Oreos, Original and Chocolate Cream

The original Oreos are hard chocolate sandwich biscuits with vanilla fondant filling. The Chocolate Cream ones, unsurprisingly are chocolate flavoured throughout. The choccy ones are a bit like bourbon biscuits and we prefer the vanilla ones.

Vegan Oreos, Original flavour snack packs

The snack packs are full sized biscuits, in little foil packs of four. You get four packs in a box too. The biscuits appear to be identical to the ones in the regular packs.

Twist, Lick, Dunk - Vegan Oreos & Rice Milk

Oreos are pretty dull just eaten as they are... but if you follow the serving suggestion on the packet we can see why people love them. You twist the sandwich apart, lick the fondant cream, then dunk the biscuit in milk... rice milk in our case. It's quite a ritualistic experience that makes the Oreos much more enjoyable. Get down to Poundland while the vegan stocks last and give it a try for yourself.

Verdict: Let's Twist Again
