Vegfest Highlight: Vegan Cream Cakes

JP Turner Vegan Cream Cakes are Dairy-Free and Egg-Free

Amazing vegan cream buns from @JPTurnerFoods were the star of #VegfestLondon

We spoke to them about their cream and whether they would make an appearance at future vegan events. The cream is apparently soya based and they spent some time developing it to stay whipped at room temperature. The cream is piped from one of those catering cream dispensers (the ones charged with nitrous oxide cartridges). JPT were certainly very generous with the whipped cream too:

In fact we'd say they were over-generous with their cake sizes in general - each cream bun could easily feed two people! The cream was just great though - better than any cream we've reviewed here on Veganoo.

The selection was absolutely amazing as well, with cream doughnuts, cream éclairs, cream profiteroles and cream toffee buns. On top of that they had vegan Danish pastries and vegan Chelsea buns!

As to whether JP Turner will be back at future Vegfest events - the answer is apparently yes. They're planning to be at Bristol and Brighton next year.

If you missed out on the vegan cream cakes this time, that's good enough reason alone to head to Vegfest next year!

UPDATE:
If you're in the Kings Cross area of London you can now buy these from Vx (Vegan Cross / SSOV)
