Review: Granovita Soyesse Desserts

Yoghurt-style desserts from @GranoVitaUK which replace their Soyage line. The desserts come in six flavours: Plain, Strawberry, Raspberry, Banana, Black Cherry and Peach & Apricot. GranoVita sent us a couple of pots of the Peach and Apricot flavour for our review:

Review: Provamel Pouring Yoghurts

Provamel Breakfast Pouring Yoghurts

New from Provamel - breakfast pouring yoghurts in Natural and Vanilla. We've been searching high and low for these as they don't seem to be widely stocked as yet. These pouring yoghurts are unusual, as there isn't a great pouring yoghurt tradition in the UK. We have nothing to compare them to, but Provamel have their own high standards, so our expectations were high:

Review: Joya Soya Natural Yoghurt

Joya Soya Natural Yoghurt is Vegan

After reviewing the fruity flavours, we look at the natural yoghurt from Austrian producer Joya. This is a genuine natural yoghurt, with soya milk and cultures, but has just a little maize starch in there to thicken it. The Joya selling point is that their beans are organic and European grown, on their own home soil in Austria:

New: Joya Soya yoghurts arrive in the UK

Joya Soya Yoghurts, dairy-free and vegan

The Austrian soy-dairy brand Joya landed on UK shores last month, with sales going live in Sainsburys. Produced in Vienna, Joya has been on the market since 2002 and is big in Austria, Germany and 30 other countries. The UK launch includes plain and fruity yoghurts, with plans to bring soya shakes over here too. We grabbed a fruity selection to see how they compared to our current UK favourites.

Review: Sojade Riz Strawberry Cassis Dessert

Sojade Riz Strawberry Blackcurrant Dessert

Rice milk yoghurt/dessert with strawberry and blackcurrant. Sojade Riz is a line of rice based desserts for those who want to avoid both dairy and soya. These desserts are chilled, and look very similar to the Sojade soya desserts, but are quite different. The flavours available are Apricot, Mango/Passionfruit and Strawberry/Blackcurrant. We picked up a twin pack of the latter flavour for our review:

Review: CoYo Coconut Milk Yoghurt

Review: CoYo Coconut Milk Yoghurt

Non-Dairy doesn't always mean soya. Co Yo cultured coconut milk yoghurt has arrived in the UK. The probiotic yoghurt is available in natural (plain), mixed berry and pineapple. The yoghurt is sugar free and gluten free and proudly carries a vegan label. Originally developed in Australia the yoghurt launched in the UK earlier this year. We spotted a pot of the mixed berry flavour in our local wholefood shop and grabbed it for review.

Quinoa Qurd: vegan soft cheese from quinoa

Quinoa Qurd: vegan soft cheese from quinoa

You can culture quinoa milk just like soya milk (and dairy milk) to make quinoa yoghurt. If you strain and press that yoghurt, you get quinoa qurd - a vegan soft cheese made of nothing but quinoa. Full article coming shortly over at our sister site plantfoods.org

Review: New Alpro Yoghurts Blackberry Raspberry

Alpro Yoghurts Blackberry Raspberry

Alpro have added a new flavour to their range of fruity soya yoghurts with a new Blackberry flavour joining Raspberry in a four pack. You get two raspberry and two blackberry yoghurts in each pack. Alpro's yoghurts are usually great, so how does the new Blackberry flavour compare?

Review: Provamel Orange & Rooibos Yoghurt

Provamel Orange & Rooibos Yoghurt

Provamel's latest fruity yoghurt is Orange & Rooibos. The organic soya yoghurt is available in large 500g pots from wholefood shops. Rooibos or redbush is a type of herbal tea originally from South Africa which has been growing in popularity in the UK over the last ten years...but isn't to everyone's taste. So if you're not a Rooibos lover...should you give this yoghurt a miss?

Wot No Dairy? Taste Test: Non-Dairy Yoghurts

vegan yoghurts

In a sign that the non-dairy market is maturing, there are now several natural plant-milk yoghurts available in the UK. The latest entrant, Redwood's 'Wot No Dairy' is soy-free too if you're excluding soya from your diet. We put the newcomer up against two established favourites from Provamel and Sojade. How does it fare?
