Speculoos style biscuit butter from the makers of Lotus caramelised biscuits. Available in smooth or crunchy and vegan-labelled. Take some ground up biscuits, add more fat and sugar... and you don't get a healthy snack, but...
What you do get is something that looks and spreads like peanut butter, that's delicious, sweet and indulgent. Just don't eat a lot of it!
We're glad the pack includes a serving suggestion - toast. After all, there's no precedent for this stuff. You surely wouldn't make a sandwich with it... would you? It's really good on toast - like eating biscuits and toast at the same time.
We had the idea to spoon it over some dairy-free ice cream. It's great served like this too, especially if the ice cream is a little melty. Naturally, you'll want to stick with vanilla, to let the caramel and cinnamon flavours from the biscuits shine through.
This stuff's been around for years now - we think it's great, but how do you eat yours?
The Good: Sweet, smooth, caramel indulgence
The Not so Good: Yeah...don't eat too much of it!
